dub (tape) delay pitch-bend effect by manually modulating delay time

I'm interested in creating a dub (tape) delay pitch-bend effect by manually twisting a knob that modulates delay time. I did it once with delay~ and send~/receive~, I just can't remember the combination.

Here is an example of the sound at 2:25

Thanks So Much!

I tried it in the below patcher. It works pretty well... Are there any other methods?

bah, wouldn't be a proper delay patch without abusive misuse of omx.peaklim~ :)

My single flaw - playing by the rules.

That's a very effective single-object extension to a basic patch Wetterberg.

No discussion of tape delay and Max would be complete without a nod to Chris Muir's wonderful patch.
Love that 'tape deck' interface :)

Balls - link didn't format properly for some reason - it's www.xfade.com/max/TLA and the patch is, of course 'Time Lag Accumulator'
