Dumb live.step problem

Please forgive the ugliness and ignorance expressed in this patch here. We've got two sequencers driven by a phasor. In this instance I'm outputting MIDI to Logic via the two noteouts - "from Max 1" on the top noteout and "from Max 2" on the bottom one. These are each talking to two logic instruments. My problem seems to be that the top sequencer seems to be dropping notes - sometimes I sense a pattern behind the dropouts and sometimes I can't.

What am I screwing up here? Thanks!
