This was resolved for us by turning OFF the ethernet connection in the Network Settings.

In other words, we had the airport and the ethernet connected to the Internet. Turn off the ethernet or unplug the ethernet cable.

Ahh, thanks for the tip! In my case I have:

Ethernet 2 plugged into a LanBNox to control DMX lighting

Unplugging the LanBox stops this error happening and then I can plug it back in, but hoping to get a proper fix.
