error: ad_asio.. on EDIROL ua101
Hello,
I have just installed my new EDIROL ua101 with USB2 interface, but when I start MAX/MSP it shows the error massage:
error: ad_asio: ASIOGetClockSources() returned 1
What does it mean? How could I resolve it?
And another question: I am recording 5chanels and playing/looping the records in real-time. But the collision of the start and the end of the loop (i.e. when it start repeat) makes small clicky sound. How to avoid/resolve this undesirable sound?
Thank you in advance!
Buggy Edirol drivers. Many people are having the same problems with other software. Try www.asio4all.com and see if that works.
this is not an Edirol exclusive problem, I am experiencing the same with a Tascam US-800 audio interface.
I tried this ASIO 4 all and as a result I got max crashing at every start. No hope opf fixing this... I had to create a new account on my machine to have maxMSP at work again :(
but not with the us-800 interface, wich is still unavailable to MSP because of the "ad_asio: ASIOGetClockSources() returned 1.
" error.
I noticed on the Tascam website that they have previously released an "application specific" driver for MaxMSP for the US-428 interface... will the new US-800 not work with cycling's software until a similar driver is released for it?
I also found some forums where the US-800 was badly reviewed because of generic problems with the Windows system, but in my case it seems to operate correctly with other applications (like Smaart, for ex.).
what's exactly going on?
thanx
