Eventide H8000 patchs
hi list,
i was wondering if anybody has ever worked with an Eventide H8000 and made some Max patches allowing to remotely control the H8000 over MIDI.
cheers,
g
hi noisyjB,
i'm talking about mixing the two solution, i managed to control the screen parameters using midi groups, added some routing control in order to set meta-parameters, but i needed some sysex uses for specific features such as switching dsp for example...
i set the H8000 midi mode on "sticky", that means when a program change occurs, you need to reach the parameters value in order to control it. (example : at init, feedback is 50% for program x, and the associated fader is set to 127, you need to go to 63 before being able to control the feedback, this avoid values jumps, and big surprises...) the only problem is that you have to make good presets for your BCF2000, for your sliders to be in good position when changing program.
also i tried to control parameters with the sysex but it's a bit slow regarding to simple midi control...
it's hard to find people doing stuff with max and a H8000. it seems to be a rare device. (because of its price i think)
cheers,
g
Hi I never time work with H8000 but I work a lot with Orville.
Do you try to use VsigFile to change the program?
Using VsigFile you can insert a EXTCONTROL module to control all the preset parameters using standard MIDI in all the DSP simultaneously.

thanks for the tip damiano
but i saw this software is windows only (am i wrong?), and we work under os x. actually i use vsigx to modify the H8000 patch and make the parameters i want to appear on the screen (eight is enough since the BCF2000 has 8 tracks).
but i can control only one dsp at a time...

I don't know vsigx but I know that it has the same potentiality of vsigfile.
If you try to add a module: you can search in EXTERNAL group and there I think you can find EXTCONTROL.
Try this... it can solve your problem and you can configure your BCF2000 controlling two ore more programs at the time.
cheers

i'll give it a try !
thanks a lot.

hate to breathe life into a 7 year old thread but Guillaume Evrard, would you be so kind as to be share this patch? I'm very interested in checking it out!
thanks
