Every M4L 7.01 audio device periodically silence (mute) the track audio output. Why?

Hello!

Just noticed a strange behavior: if I load any M4L (Max7 and Ableton Live 9.1.7) audio device on an Ableton Live track it will periodically silence (mute) the track output. This happens with every M4L audio device (even with the default Max Audio Effect). There is nothing on Max Console window when this happens.

What may be wrong?

Max7.01 (x64), Ableton Live 9.1.7 (x64), Mac OS X 10.10.1

I'm not 100% sure, but it seems I saw a green label 'Expired' on a M4L device window title after clicking on an M4L device Edit button. This label disappeared in a moment and after this the issue with track output muting is not reproducible anymore (hopefully forever).

Looks like an authorization issue? Can anybody explain this?

Thank you!

Unfortunately, this started again with a short time green message on M4l edit device window: 'License expired'. Why this happens?

Just filled the support form, describing the issue.

Do you own a license for Max 7 standalone, or do you only own a M4L license? If you only own a M4L license then this is probably happening because Max 7 is running in demo mode. You can only use Max 7 as your M4L editor if you own a full license of Max 7. That is until the Abes release a version of Live that officially supports Max 7 as the editor and you can use it without restriction. This will most likely happen when Live 10 is released.

I own both the standalone Max 7 license and M4L license (with Ableton Live Suite): this is why I'm so surprised to see authorization issues...

Yeah that's not right. Hopefully support gets back to you soon.
