experiences with Akai EWI USB anyone?

I saw on the net the Akai EWI USB wind controller http://www.musicstore.de:80/en_EN/PTE/Computer/-/art-SYN0003397-000 For 368 euro, it seems a reasonable price and I am tempted to buy one. However, is it possible to communicate with MaxMSP? Anyone has experiences with it?

Don't know about the EWI USB, but if it's a MIDI controller (must be a MIDI keyboard if it's like a Yamaha WX5), then no problem at all to communicate with Max. I would recommend that you download the EWI's manual to be aware of the specifics. J-F

      From here:
"EWI USB sends out MIDI information over a standard USB connection..."
bummer. I was hoping for better than MIDI.

I don't knwo if i'm on a good topic but I've problems with my EWI. I want to control Reason 7 with my EWI, with the pitch bend include in the machine. But with the patch below I have an error message : "queue stepped on itself" I don't understand why, because Reason don't send informations to Max. When I launch the audio, the message "queue stepped on itself" stop ! Is someone can help me ? Thanks

While I haven't used an EWI I just saw this piece of software that maximizes the EWI's functionality in Reason. It's called Instant EWI and here is a video demo - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9HxG1rz2AU
