Faderfox EC4 controller for Max8 - Help needed
I just received a Faderfox EC4 controller and was expecting it to have the ability to set exact unlimited upper and lower ranges, but it is limited to 0-127. You can set it to 14bit high resolution and set the display to 0-1000, but I was hoping to scrub the length of any size sample in waveform~ with precision. I can use scale~ to scale the output of the EC4 but I was hoping to get more precision scrubbing from within the EC4 unit without having to use scale~.
Currently without precise increments it is giving me a stepping effect that is not wanted even if i use the scale~ object.
Any suggestions or pointers if I am missing something obvious?

I worked it out. Just set to high resolution mode, and assign midi to a float and I have to use scale with float values. No stepping!
Thinking to buy this controller also to scrub samples in waveform~. How is your experience with it so far?
Hey Miles, I also have the EC4 and I put it to high resolution, but it feels that even the EC4 has this stepping motion, it doesn´t do 1000, 999, 998, 997; but 1000, 992, 985, etc. Does this happen to you too?
