Few questions before buying m4L and Live

    I'm considering buying M4L and L8.1 today.
But i need to know :
    - is it possible / planned to be able to launch a patch inside Live without nesting it into a track ? without height fixed to 159 ? with ability to use multiple inputs / outputs and to link them to different tracks ? clearly, to use a complex patch inside Live but not just as a plug device ?
    - a little Live question (as a non-Live user yet, their forum is locked to me), which drives me nuts : may i launch looped clips whithout warping, without tempo, without even launching the transport, when i want ? i'm 99% sure it's a no. Well, will i be able to do that with M4L, to build a file player which would appear as a clip in session view but which would do exactly what i want with no quantize / tempo / warp mess ?
    Best wishes

i cannot resist posting re this, so here goes [n.b. - below are general, not specific comments]...
i've been a live user for quite a few years now, and have been dreaming of some of the functionality you mention since day one
i've been a max user for even more years and any complaints i have are always insignificant in comparison
m4l is NOT 'Max IN Live' - it is a new, fun, exciting and brilliant product with huge potential for development, and if all the comments by the people that matter, i.e. mr henke, ralf, benson, pask, et al, are anything to go by, it will quickly develop and become more and more awesome.
however, live is unlikely to change into a serious 'daw' anytime soon. it is what it is, and it is brilliant at what it does.
if you think you can buy live / m4l and make it do exactly what you want, then you should not buy it - you will be sorely disappointed. if you want a new, fun, high quality toy that will provide many new creative inspirations, then buy it.
i just worry you will be disappointed...
      my 2 cents.

Too bad, i couldn't resist and bought it 20 minutes ago. Arfff, i guess i'll finally find a way to manage my needs, but i know for sure i'm facing hours of developpement i could use making music.
