Filter bang repetitions / low output refresh rate of a Timed inc/dec

bennid's icon

Hi,
i made this timed inc/dec patch to increase exponentially the speed of inc/decrementation of a set number,
I got several problems listed in the patch:
- setting a min max for inc dec objects is made through gates because i could 'nt make it work in the inc/dec obects arguments
- the speed of B ouput is so fast that it overflows the ipad software (konkreet performer) osc input to refresh the node place
> for this i don't know how low refresh rate, maybe snapshot after converting data to audio signal?

Thanks a lot

This all looks too complicated for a simple inc / dec button control of a slider.
I would set initial speed , let metro bang inc or dec, and increase metro speed over time
that inc or dec button is pressed.
What is the slider range ?

Hi Source,
Thanks for your reply,
infact that 's what the patch does: it increases metro speed if inc /dec buttons are maintained,
the slider range is 0. to 1. , the increment value is 0.00122 cos it's how i need it;-).

It's controlling a voltage card control that the resolution is 16000 in midi 14 bits on 2 chanels.

The update Limit set in inc/dec object works ony when the object gets
triggered with mouse.
Sending it inc or dec message on higher rate overrides that limit.
So the maximum speed has to be set in front of both metro objects.
I have simply inserted float with min 5 min 10 etc
Please have a look in the patch.

Here is quite simplified version of it.
Could that work for You ?

that should work well,
I'll use [f] and [clip] instead of [number] to avoid max to refresh the graphical number box.
ciao!

I am afraid that is not going to work correctly, or I did not understand the function of "value In" .
If You want to keep float set with "value in" in sync with inc/dec value, You have to connect
it differently.
Also refreshing one graphical number box is really not that heavy on cpu...
It can be ignored when it resides in sub patcher.
But here is updated patch using clip instead...
