    Hi Everyone,
    Im really struggling with this Flash server external,
    All i want to do really is control things in Flash like x, y position, height and width.
    But i cannot seem to find the correct files that convert between action script 2 to action script 3 as explained in this video.
    Could really do with some advice on this one as I have looked at many way to achieve my goal and this method seems within my capability as I do not have the best AS3 skills.
    Hope someone can help.

      Might I ask, if the parameters of the project absolutely require flash? Conversion between as2 and as3 is no joke. Perhaps you might work with JS? Better than as3 for darn near anything

      What I want to create if something that reacts to movement, like an interactive projection floor. I can do frame differencing / motion detection in Max fairly easily but I need to use the image editing facilities and polished graphics of flash to give it a professional feel.
      I am pretty well versed in Max but very amateur at other languages (although I am learning!)
      it i can get the variables from max such as X Y position of a blob in to flash and trigger events I think I might be able to get something going!
      Do you have any suggestions?

      Yes, many happy event handling stuffs going on in JS. I have to run soon but if you PM me I'll try and get back to you by the weekend.

      That aside, it is fairly easy to do slick interfaces in Max. If your main concern is interface, maybe no need to go outside of max at all?

      cool, I'm trying to achieve this kind of thing;
      Im happy to try and learn java over action script really as its probably more useful long term..... but don't know really where to start for now with the interactive floor!
      What would you suggest?
      Thanks for your time.
