{Flashserver} (Need Max to Talk to Flash for Interactive Flipbook)
Hi everyone,
This is my post in an attempt to get this going, I would like to make an interactive flip book controller by a gesture interface with a nice shiny flash front-end.
I have flash server and the examples patches but i cannot get any to work,
I could be missing something obvious, could someone maybe give me a step by step guide on how to do just the basic, once i can get the to talk i should be fine!
Also if there is an easier/alternative method i would love to hear it.
Regards,
Oli
I haven't done this in a while, so I cannot give you a full step by step guide out of my head. Bute here are some keywords that might help...
Basically you need to implement a TCP- or Web-Socket in Flash and than send the data from Max to the Flash application (i.e.using [mxj net.tcp.send]).
Sorry for the rough outline, but if you consult Google you will wind many tutorials about sockets in flash.
Hope that helps to egt you started.

I've used flosc for this: http://benchun.net/projects/flosc/
@jan, thanks for that ill look into them,
@mzed cheers I have checked this out already, I have managed to get the example to work so i might be able amend the patch to suit my needs.
