I'm trying to make an FM synthesizer that arpeggiates certain notes (which can be changed by the user) at various rhythmic intervals. Sparing many of the gory details (for now), is it possible to link the transport/global transport to an FM patcher? Or, is it possible at all to make the kslider/noteout objects influence carrier freqs in my FM machine?

Take, for example, the basic FM program in MSP Tutorial 11...Is there a way for a kslider to control the carrier frequency?

Have a look at [mtof] for converting MIDI values into frequencies to hook up [kslider] to control the carrier frequency of the FM patch. There are many ways to create an arpeggios using the transport to control timing. You'll find a few just by searching "arpeggiator" here on the forum.
