freeze spectra scope and or signal scope

Have been reading tutorials and help files of the different scopes, but cant seem to find a solution to the problem.

I need to freeze the graphs at a given time, kinda like a screen shot. So i can compare different graphs from different signal routing in my patch.
i am working with audio signals, and the graphs are shifting way to fast.

would be nice if i could send a bang to the graph's in order to freeze them.
the capture~ object combined with the fft~ object (analysis introduction tutorial) has a clear and a write button, and saves the content of the bins as a lot of numbers. could these numbers be feed into a patch or object to get a graphical representation of the content ?

i am using max 4.6.3

Any help would be much appreciated

cheers

Mute~ above a subpatcher might do what you want...

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

you can send a "enable 1/0" message to both scopes.
I haven't seen this documented anywhere, though....
