"Freeze Track" alters sound of M4L instruments & audio effects

Hi,

When I have any type of Max audio processing going on in a MIDI track, either via an audio effect or a MIDI instrument that processes an audio buffer, freezing the track seems to alter the sound considerably. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks,
Zach

After putting a little more thought into it, I realized that freezing literally only freezes all devices parameters. Therefore, it won't reproduce the output accurately unless the MIDI input is the only dynamic element in the performance. If, like me, you tend to patch devices with things like LFOs, buffer mangling, chance events, etc. you should just send the output to an audio track to record there.

Am I correct about this? Has anyone else experience this issue?
