A M4L device I created on my Mac doesn't display the proper fonts when it is opened on my PC. I am using a font that isn't standard, but I assumed it would be included when the device was frozen.

I must be wrong about that. I can't find any information on how to include fonts with a device. Does anyone know how, or can anyone point me to a resource that I might have missed?

Fonts are part of the computer's OS, not the app. You really only have a couple of options. Use a font that is standard to all operating systems, or convert the font to graphics. It's the same as with web design.
