frippertronics

Hi,

Has anyone an idea (sure you do...) how to build a simple "frippertronics" patch ? I'm new to max, sorry for boring you with simple questions...
The patch should record an instrument played live for a few seconds (number of seconds which the user chooses, say between 1 to 10) into a buffer, then play this buffer along with the original instrument (maybe through a mixer so to choose both sound levels, but hey, i'll manage this, don't worry), both sounds being re-recorded together, and so on... I know there are some free VSTs around doing that job well but i'd love to improve it further with effects, etc.

It surely deals with buffer~, record~, play~but i simply can't build that by now...
