Fullscreen on scan converter = slow ?

Hi there,
I'm having a really strange problem, on a MacBookPro (10.6, max 5.0.8) using a scan converter (PC to Video EZ) to send Composite signal (RCA) to a projector.
When I set a jit.window just in between my laptop screen and the projector, everything goes fine.
But when I set it to fullscreen or even when I set the window to be only on the projector, everything gets really slow (fps around 5...).
I'm pretty used to Jitter, the patch I'm working with works fine on my other machines (old MacBook Pro and MacPro).
Anybody has a clue?

put the following in a message box and click it:
; jitter glreadback fbo

also, upgrading to 5.1 should do this automatically.

Hi Rob

Just wondering if this is the final fix for the problem? It works great on macs with the newer nVIDIA graphics, but on older macbooks that just have intel graphics, setting fbo instead of rtt reduces my gl framerate from 25fps (synced to the video framerate so I guess it can be much higher) to about 17-19fps instead. These figures are only on a standard MPEG2 PAL movie too, with no significant processing going on at all.

Cheers
