The companion package for the book Generating Sound & Organizing Time doesn't seem to be working for me. I downloaded the package, unzipped it, and put it in Documents/Max8/Packages. It appears in my installed packages in the package browser, but when I type 'go' in a patch window, none of the 'go' patchers are found. 

This package is stored alongside my other packages and I have no issues with them. I'm running latest version of Max 8.6.1.

The go .gendsp files won't work like that. You can open the File Browser, navigate to the go package, and drag and drop them into your patcher from there:
