I'd like to upvote this! This is a clearly very useful feature that is missing on both clip view and song view!

 and it is a get-able property of a clip object, and it seems available for audio and midi clips, both in arrangement and session view.

I think OP is talking about the cursor position in the clip view. The playing position (in white) is not linked to the visual cursor (in blue). This is actually missing from the LOM
