getting sound from jweb
hi !
i was thinking it could be a great feature to be able to capture sound from the jweb object.
a bit like the jit.qt.movie & spigot~ feature.
would also be nice if the spigot~/soc feature could work with audio from everywhere, not just from the disk.
we could have fun with online audio ressources...
that's all... maybe there's a way to accomplish this i'm not aware of...

This is a very useful requirement.
For example to control, transform, spatialize sound coming from different web flows.
It is the kind of application Max/MSP should allow to create more than any other environnement.

Yes, I would love to figure this out too.
Any luck with this? Apart from the Soundflower option.
I'm interested in that too... Could anybody solve it somehow?
Yes, I follow it too. The only way for now is to redirect the system out to the patch in (thru adc) using Soundflower2 or another virtual driver. But this method is a nightmare for some users that are not really skilled, and you have to quit also the system audio alerts, or these comes thru always... other thing is the routing... please c74, give us the outs!
Interested in this... Any progress?
I think the solution for this type of problem will always be dependent on the specific web content context.
If you are rendering a page that plays an hosted audio file, it can be pretty straightforward to load that audio-url into another max object.
Having said that, I too would love to have a jweb~ object...
jweb~ released in 9.0
however, it is not allowing login to browser (Google)
anyone know about this?

blast from the past :)
I don't want to be that guy who would ask you "why/are you sure you really want to do it that way" so I'll refrain from giving suggestions, but the fact that this implementation of chromium(?) is/should be highly hackable to interact with max, may have something to do with what you are noticing :/
