I am trying to build a surround sound installation with 8 speakers and a subwoofer. I want to use the HOA objects as they seem the most accessible spatialization tool. I do have a few questions:

1) I want to rotate the sounds in a global way. Therefore, I thought grouping them and changing the azimuth is the best way (I would like to have also internal movements with that large movement). I can do that with the mouse, selecting the group node and pressing ctrl and moving. Is there a way to do this with messages?

2) I am using the example patch of hoa.2d.map to experiment. When I want to group sources I can only group consecutive sources like but not . Any idea how to solve that?

3) I want to output the sound simultaneously through the 8 speakers + subwoofer and through headphones. Can I use the ambisonics and binaural modes simultaneously (obviously routing the sound to a different dac~object? Also: how should I consider the subwoofer: as channel 9 or something else?
