grainstretch~ rename
I am recording into 8 buffers. I'd want to play them back with grainstretch~. I currently have 8 instances of grainstretch~ to play back the 8 buffers I am recording to. I keep crashing the program so I think I need to go to 1 instance of grainstretch~. The problem is I do not know how to get rainstretch~ to read from different buffers other than the one listed as the object argument. I want to keep the contents of the buffers but I only need to call them up one at a time. I've looked at Brendan's "gengrainshare" but don't see how to rename there either. If I can I'd like to keep grain stretch for the time being as I've written so much in the list I don't want to start over.
I got the answer Just send a set message as you would a buffer. Thank, Timo.
Hi
glad you're sorted; just gimme a shout if need to do this with granary, too.
Brendan
I would like to know how to do this with granary. I keep crashing max with grainstretch (user error) and I ve not tracked down the culprit just yet. I'd like to know how to do it with granary in cas ri need to make a switch.
