groove~ in stereo ?

Hi, i'm new to max & following the tutorials
MSP tut patch nr 14 is about the groove~object.
it looks impossible to have stereo output from this object, even with the optional (2) argument.
After a search, i saw a couple of posts about this in the forums, but i never an answer.
Am i missing something obvious here ?
Any help much appreciated on this one, thanks in advance

Make sure the buffer being played also has 2 channels.

in order to tell buffer~ to have 2 channels, you must also provide a default length. however this length can change dynamically, with the replace or size messages.
      [buffer~ stereo_buf 1000 2]

Indeed, it's working now. The length argument got me confused, and i was thinking 2 ch were the default w/o arg., as it can be supposed in the tut. 14 patch.
Thnks for the replies, guys !
