Guitar Hero Program
So I've scoured the internet looking for a program and its supposed to be on a site called myfavoritebutton.net but its not.
I need a Max/MSP program that uses the guitar hero controller and you can assign each button to make a certain noise (and you can choose which noise to make it by adding an mp3 or some kind of audio file). The flipper changes banks and there are 5 noises on each bank.
The program that is demonstrated on YouTube has 5 banks making 5 different noises and you flip through the banks using the flipper. If anyone knows where I could find this program please tell me, or if you have it could you send it to: derekshull@gmail.com
Also I don't know if this is possible but I'd like to make it where the start button can make a noise too.
Thanks for your help!!!

You would have to create it yourself I'm afraid...

I bet it is very well possible. The guitar hero controller for sure is a
hid device. Attach it to the hi object to get all switches and movements
into max. Then mapp it to your sounds...
You'll love to create your own programs, and your project isn't too
ambitious as a beginners task. But you will have to go through all the
tutorials before asking too ambarassing questions... ;-)
(It might take you 3 days including fiddeling and falling in love with
Max/MSP...)

To really learn all the tricks will take longer though, but then you can
ask the list to help out...

1) get a ps2 controller to usb adapter. here's one.
2) plug it into your computer, and launch max.
3) with controller in hand, look at the help file for the hi object.
4) once you've confirmed it works, do the max tutorials.

Yeah but that doesn't let you control what sound it makes
