Developing an automated transcriber, analysing only monophonic lines and using a guitar as the live input. Things are pretty good except for when it comes to spectral analysis and comparison.... I can capture the higher partials needed to distinguish duplicate frequencies from each other, though I am stumped at how I can compare two coll objects to output a bang when a match is found between stored spectral info and incoming real time spectral info?

Anyone mind pointing me in the right direction of some informative sources?
