Guitar Stutter/Looper Effect help

I'm doing something fairly simple (for all you guys at least). I'm just looking to create something, that when is switched on, will randomly sample my input signal and loop it, and randomly shut off and allow the original signal to go through untouched. The only problem I am having is the looping part. I can't find a way to ouput my tapout back into itself AFTER the signal has been fed into Tapin. Below is what I have so far. I searched the forums and have read help files for 3 days. I'm new at this.

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

if you want to use Tapin~ / Tapout~ pairs, you could use the very pourly documented freeze command to tapin~, and then phase thru the frosen audio.

But I would go for the stutter~ object instead ;) one of my favorites !! it is perfect for this task !

you'll prob have to reduce clicks with a very short window lookup or other method.
