Halion 3 and vst~

Dear all, I'm using Steinberg Halion 3 VSTI plugged into vst~, and I would like to control it from Max. Two issues:

1-While Midi messages such as Program Change and Note-On/Note-Off work fine, I'm not able to send any Control Change.

For instance, the "glide" parameter should be controlled with a CC number 5, as I read in the operation manual: ftp://ftp.steinberg.net/Download/VSTi_HALion_3/Docs_English/HALion_3_Manual.pdf

However, if I send it a messages like "midievent 176 5 $1" it doesn't work.

2-I stored an "fxb" file in order to saving my presets. How can I save it using relative paths instead of absolute paths?

In particular, I'm writing a Max patch that use some Halion presets, for loading samples that are in the a folder called "sounds" in the same directory of the main Max patch.
I will installed this patch, with its samples, on a media laboratory. So the absolute path will be not the same, and Halion will not find samples...

Any help will be appreciated.
Best regards,
Bruno
