Hardware for interactive video

    I am creating an interactive video with maxMSP/jitter- I need to run the software of a small computer as I only have limited space for install.
    I was looking at the Aspire Revo, it suits the recommended requirements (ie 1 GB RAM and OpenGL-compatible graphics card) but wanted to know if anyone has any experience using video on max 5 with this simple hardware?
    The videos are only 5 secs long and looped- so the file sizes will be minimal. Would the specs be suitable for the project?
    Any recommendations on alternative options would be appreciated as well.
    Details:
    * Intel Atom 330 CPU * Advanced NVIDIA ION Graphics with HDMI * 2GB DDR2 800MHz Memory

      The NVIDIA ION is an integrated GPU, so I would guess it doesn't support shaders if that matters for your patch. You can find out for sure here:

      Thanks Zach, I wouldn't be using shaders as I am just creating the video out of five .mov files triggered by key inputs. It is a pretty simple project- but just wondering if this computer would cause any problems running max 5 or create any major lag issues when trying to play the videos.
