Having issues with Gen~
Hi, I've just upgraded to the new version of Max 6 + Gen from the last version of Max 5.
I seem to be encountering repeating problems whenever I try to use Gen~ or load up any of the Gen~ example patches.
For some reason when I use Gen~ after a while all visual feedback stops.
I can still move sliders and dials and they have the right effect but I can't see them or anything else in the patch move.
This fixes for a short time if I close and reopen Max.
Also I seem to be missing some objects. For example [norm] [sample] and [swiz] come up as errors.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem or know a way to fix this odd behaviour?
[norm] [sample] and [swiz] are jitter gen objects, not gen~ objects. I'm not sure about the visual feedback. Do you mean that UI objects don't redraw (like scope~ etc.)?
Are you using Max 6.03?
Does it happen with all audio drivers?

Thanks for the responses. Yeah the issue stops everything from being redrawn, scope~, number~, live.gain~ etc.
I have only tried it on mac internal audio, I'm running Max6.03 on a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.6.8. It seems to only happen when I use gen~
Forgive my ignorance with gen~ (I've only just opened the examples file) do I have to create a jit.gen~ object to access this rather than a standard gen~ object?
ok Mr Dead Flies in the Lampshade.
