I've been digging deeper into lots of things and just searching for different options to play with when it comes to upsampling/oversampling, antialiasing and filters. I've got some examples of 4x interpolation; doing the process 4 times and then interpolating which filters out before nyquist... (from this forum thx to stkr and ernest)

but can I do a simple zero stuffing type upsampling in gen~? 

I dont need the accuracy of oversampling, just the temporary higher nyquist frequency. I tried using interp, input 1 my signal, input 2 being 0 with a factor of 0.5 interpolation but I didn't appear to work. Has anyone else tried this?

I just want to report, that your recent update killed all of my ~Gen devices such as: Compositor Max for Live, SASER and Compositor v9 NRTOS standalone.

Once I load my device in Max 9.2 it starts to spam with numerous errors in Max window. I attach the Max window error log with this topic. It seems that messages just pass through the ~Gen object. None of my code doesn't work.

Hi. I have released a new package in the Max Package Manager called "evieve". It's catchy tag line is: "A library of GenExpr audio code with a particular focus on linear and nonlinear filtering, antialiased saturation and signal smoothing".

There are 54 .genexpr files containing various audio functions for use via 'require()', over 200 .gendsp abstractions for use inside gen~, 64 .maxpat abstractions, 11 externals and hundreds of helpfiles, reference documents and example patchers. Via the use of the 'define' mechanism, most of the .gendsp abstractions are also available for patching inside MSP.

The idea is to offer up some of my own reusable code which is not already covered by MSP, gen~ or go, although inevitably there are some overlaps.

Just search for "evieve" in the Package Manager. Any feedback, including if anyone finds any of this useful, let me know.

I'm working on a patch to randomly generate amplitude values for a 30 channel MC granulator I made. 

The idea is that all of the amplitude values generated would add up to 1, but they could be randomly generated/distributed to automatically mix foreground/background sound among the 30 channels. 

N random values with  constant sum C. In this case, 30 random values with constant sum 1. 

This is hard! I'm in a little over my head. I started in mc.gen but had trouble conceptualizing how the patch should flow. After some trial and lots of error I'm seeking some help.

I have a 16 plane 256x256 jitter matrix where each cell contains and int that's either 0 or 1. Taking the value of the same cell coordinate in all 16 planes gives you a binary number. I'm trying to make a jit.gen patch that gives me the decimal value of each cell, so i can turn this into a UV map of sorts. 

Any jit.gen experts that could help me with this? Been stuck on this part of my project for days:)
