Hello About Making Chronometer (Simple) And Random Metronome
Hello, i'm a new about using max. I just started to use max/msp (about 1 week). Now i learned only build random piano notes with metronome (Makenote and Noteout objects). Now i'm wondering that how can i build a chronometer with metronome and a random metronome. I tried a lot but i didn't find yet. I need your help max wizards !!! :)

Hi Nedim. What exactly are you trying to do? Try to explain in terms of
what you want to happen and when. Also, how far along in the tutorials
are you?
The use of the word "chronometer" is quite vague in this context.
Cheers,
Andreas.
Hello, firstly thanks for the answer.
1- I want to build a chronometer which is starts from 0 to infinite. In short, what i want is a simple chronometer which is sometimes in our clocks.
2- Secondly i want a metronome but not a regular metronome. It should send random signal, i mean sometimes 534 sometimes 3845 or 248 bpm etc...
I created a "metronome" object, to the time interval side i created "random 300" object. And finally to the output ticks i created a number object but nothing is chanced. It's still sending regular signal.

Right, first of all: Please finish all the max tutorials - they'll
easily help you achieve what you want. For this thing, have a look at
the [accum] and [counter] objects.

Again, the skills to design what you want will be taught in the
tutorials. It sounds like you are confusing what you want with what
comes out of the metro. I think you would need to post a patch here to
get more precise help, but again, doing the tutorials all the way
through - okay, at least the first 30 or 40? - will be a much better help.
Andreas.
The attached is one way to do a randomized metronome.
As always: TIMTOWTDI (There Is More Than One Way To Do It).
My example uses an object from the Litter Power Starter Pack. You could, instead, use a combination of [random] and some basic arithmetic objects. Hopefully the basic principle is clear, however.
Several examples of chronometers/timers/stopwatches/clocks have been posted to this list in the past. You should be able to find at least some of them with a query to Google. Something like "chronometer OR stopwatch site:cycling74.com" (without the quotation marks) should find something useful.
As always, a URI to the Litter Starter Pack is in the .signature below.
Hope this helps,
Peter
Merhaba Nedim,
This may help you to understand and you can modify according to your needs. It's a performance clock, just encapsulate it and connect a toggle to start.
I did it because I couldn't use timeline ever :(

Mehmet Can
It is also a good practice to do your homework without forum's help.
You might learn something while trying. Read the tutorials. I'll see
you in class.

;-) I thought it was a given task for a class. Especially the two
questions would not come up at once. We might develop a "hidden"
language for class tasks, in a way that high frequency committing
members on the list will really only pull out that "do the tutorials"
loop, maybe only with a delay of one day... ;-)
I would tell my students actually that they should read the list, and
that I read it as well. If they are still smart enough to hide themself,
they are also smart enough for Maxin'...

Hello again,
Firstly i have looked tutorials a little about 1 to 25 but to make plain my mind is diffused, i tried to create this two object myself because when trying to do anything without help it's good to learn different things. But after a long time i throwed in the towel even i don't want it.
By the way i don't need to hide myself to teachers or anyone. If i need to get help i'm just asking it. I don't think that it's about being a smart person. Also my nick name is same with my class name. If i wanted to hide myself, i could ;o)
So, i'm looking tutorials again, supposedly i'm getting understand better.
Thanks again Tolga, see you in the class.

You are welcome,
reading the list and posting questions is fun. But doing tutorials is
also a requirement. Another good way to work is to team up with your
colleagues, they are in the same state as you are, helping each other is
fun as well... ;-)
