Also is that patch from Maurizio Giri and Alessandro Cipriani's book? Because I can not remember where the receive object for the amplitude is coming from most likely hidden in the locked patch and is coming from the preset object, same goes for the duration.

hhaha I didnt realize that thought I had seen it somewhere before, I've been making my way through their book so thought it was from that. It has been a while since I have gone through the msp tutorials :s still nothing like using them for reference. Thats the beauty of max/msp if you don't under stand what an object is just alt click then bingo!
