Hi there I am new to the max patching world.

I have been doing a basic interactive music quiz with sounds being played once buttons are being clicked.

The sound was working ok until I saved the file and closed max 5 down. I opened it up to see if it would work and everything was there but when I pressed the buttons no sound was being generated.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
My speakers were not switched off.
Is there an audio button in one of the menus?

Hi again.
Ive tried both of the above and there is still no audio. I even tried to create a new patch and there is no audio in that either

From the Extras menu, select "Audiotester". About halfway down, on the left, change the Source menu from "off" to "Oscillator". Any sound or visual feedback?

If no, click on the speaker icon on the right side. Is it yellow? Any change?

If still no, open up "Audio Status" from the Options menu. Make sure Audio is on, and the the driver settings seem like what you would expect.

What OS?
