okay,,, i kinda fucked myself in the butt as i am in a class where we are learning maxmsp and jitter. i have an ok background in programming (html, java, processing)
but i need to create some sort of final project for end of semester... and im kinda really behind.
idk if this can anyone help me with.
i sort of wanted to create some cool 3D thing, images taken from a webcam or something and mapped as texture onto something like a 3D abstract. and i was going to add in where it does face tracking which u sort of kinda move the camera around the 3d object by...

but any libraries or quick fixes to this someone can link me too would be cool

Spend 10 seconds looking at jitter Tutorials 30-40 (in particular 34). Face detection and pixel tracking are in the cv.jit library. That's about all I got. Good luck.

You are silly. You make me feel warm and fuzzy inside with the opportunity to impart my wisdom to your young eager mind. But as I've already said, you are silly and are not actually reading my post, following the links I've provided, or taking my suggestions about trying it yourself first seriously. Because this is clearly an emergency. You might risk failing a class that you've done no work in, clearly don't care about, or have any desire to come clean to your instructor about any learning disability you claim to possess. Don't worry silly person. There are worse things in life than failing a class. Like plagiarism: turning in someone else's work as your own. That's worse. Of course if you are willing to bust your hump to get a worthwhile project together before the deadline, this letter doesn't apply to you. Please accept my apologies for misinterpreting your post and best of luck becoming an expert on a new programming language on a ridiculously abbreviated time table without time to read posts, interpret code, reconstruct examples, watch the youtube videos, look through the jitter cookbooks, or even give people on the forums adequate time to address very genuine difficulties you may be experiencing.

Yet there is no category called Jitter Tutorials, neither are they numbered. Unless you're talking about the Jitter recipes, in which the 30-40 are completely un related to the proposed question

No, I'm talking about the tutorials found in the Max application itself. Look under the Help menu for Jitter Tutorials. It's amazing how many people have never looked at these.
In the Max application, go to the Help Menu, Select Jitter Tutorials, they are in there...and numbered.
