hiding Max Runtime on opening ?
hello there.
am fooling around a bit with the standalone execs. Is it possible to somehow minimize or "preload" the max Runtime window that opens up when you run the standalone, so ONLY the standalone exe is open onscreen ?
It is just cosmetic I know, but browsing for details is how I try to learn and improve my skills :)))

You mean the Max window? Put a [standalone] object in your patcher and check out its settings in the inspector. One of them gives you the option to hide the max window.

i'm on windows using max5.1.8 ... i've tried all the options in [standalone] but the max runtime window remains in the build when opened. the closest option is "status window visible at startup". however, even with this unchecked the runtime window still shows.
i'm able to remove the menu bar, bottom status bar and all the other window messages for [thispatch], but the runtime is my last hurdle in cleaning the standalone up. any thoughts?
I'm stuck here too. Is there really no option to hide the runtime window?
