High-res camera feed
Hi all,
I want to do a timelapse in Jitter but am having problems getting a high-quality video feed into max. The image quality from my webcam isn't good enough -- I'd like a higher resolution if possible, like from a nice digital camera perhaps. But I haven't been able to get max to read the input or control my point-and-shoot USB camera.
What's the best way to get a good image feed into max without breaking the bank? Is there another webcam I should try? Has ayone had any luck getting max to read a camera? Thanks!

Does your point and shoot actually support something like Remote Capture or the likes? It is a feature you usually only find in DSLR's that allows you to take a picture from your camera directly to your computer.
But I have no idea if there is any compatibility of that with max.
Grabbing the stream from a HD Camcorder might also work. But more likely I would think about controlling a software that is dedicated for remote capturing through jitter.

Check this out, might be a little higher res than your current webcam...

also, maybe check this site out, it at least has listings of cameras that would be a good starting point.

I know I've seen this question on other forum posts.
If you are just trying to control a camera and don't care about having the images in jitter immediately you could go the arduino route...

if you want to capture high definition, you will probably need a capture card installed in your machine, something like the Blackmagic Intensity card.
