If you're talking about the Mackie Control, I have an example called
Maxie Control deals with most aspects of the Mackie Control : http://www.xfade.com/max/

ill get to it.
Hi there Blairoll,
this is someting I have been working on for some time, but I don't know how much use my patches might be for you.
One note of advice. when you reach the point of display updating via sysex, I've found it much more fluid to initially send only one long message for the upper lcd, and one long message for the lower. This might not be so much of an issue with just one mcu, but I have a lc,xt and 2x C4 controllers, and sending individual lcd update messages for each parameter on a 'layer change' clogs up the midi stream quite badly.
Let me know if you get stuck with the initialization process, I have a fully working patch for that I've been using for over a year without issue.
