How can I set clip start in m4l as apposed to loop start.

I am presuming there is way of doing this as this is settable by midi within Abelton.

The context of this is: because I want to trigger clips I have dragged from the looper device (using bome automation of mouse actions). If I just say trigger a 4 bar clip (using quantize set at 2 bars) it doesn’t land in the correct place within the 4 bar cycle. I need to offset it using the clip start in order to get it to trigger in the correct place.

Looking through the Live Object Model and playing around with all the possibilities I can think of – I cant find anyway of doing this.

For some reason if I do this by midi it is unreliable – works sometimes – but not all the time – not sure if this is a bug, but I would prefer to be able to set via m4l anyway.

Any thoughts on this matter would be greatly appreciated

Best Regards

Richard

Turn looping off, set loop_start, set loop_end, turn looping on....
