HOW DO I DELAY NUMBERS

HI GUYS!!!

I'm creating a patch that generates kind of pseudo 12 tone music. Right now i'm at the point of trying out one tone row (one row of 12 un-repeated pitches), but i've come across a problem.

Im sending a random number to twelve number boxes (changed to read as notes). Box number one is okay to fire immeadiately, but i want to be able to control the time boxes 2-12 fire so they sound like someone doing a run up a keyboard. I thought i could do this by inserting a delay object in front of any box from 2-12, just before the operand with a + function to insure the note played is different from the one generated by the random box, but i just realized you can't send numbers through a delay box?

Anyone know how i might do this? I'm sure im going the long way around this as well so any short cut suggestions would be cool too.

Any help would be awesome!!!. Morgan

oh here's the patch attached with note one and then a second note illustrating my problem. Thanks

Sorry dudes i just found the pipe object and haven't felt this dorkish since realizing the Gypsy Kings and Velvet waistcoats weren't cool.

Anyway might as well take this opportunity to say hello. So hello!! My names Morgan Quaintance, i'm a "pro" musician currently looking for ways to alienate a fan-base that doesn't exist (huh!)

Its taken me ages to sit down and get to grips with max, hopefully this time working through the tutorials will leave me less flaccid then previous attempts...erm

peace and love, M
