For a Uni assignment I am using Max msp to create an installation using a barcode scanner.

Basically, the goal is when you scan a physical barcode using the barcode scanner, I want it to start playing an audio file.

I have already figured out getting the barcode numbers into Max but the only way I can view them is by using ‘print @popup 1’ or on the max console.

I am curious if there is a way to get those numbers from the console into a message box (or other), so then I can use the data to trigger the different audio files.

Without your patch it is not easy to figure-out exactly what you are referring to ... May be as simple as directing the numbers to the right inlet of a message box .....
