i don't understand why i can mute the selected clip in the song, but can't set it's length? it says invalid syntax.

i don't see how that can fail? here i'm setting it's muted property and that works, so what am i doing wrong with the length property?

i don't see how that can fail?  here i'm setting it's muted property and that works, so what am i doing wrong with the length property?

According to the LOM you can "get" the clip length but not "set". 

thanks! i saw that later on and was shocked. why have the docs say you can get and set these properties when actually, most of them aren't settable. also how do you learn that something's not settable? well there's only two ways. you try and you get a syntax error which makes no sense at all or you look at the individual clip properties in the LOM and there it DOES say you can't SET. but the problem with that is that there are lots of properties / functions not listed in LOM so it's either out of date or just broken and so you can't trust it anyways... ughhhhhhhhhh......

so am i crazy or is actually just impossible to sanely edit clips in a song? obviously not only is the JS functionality completely limited but it ?appears? you can't even query the clips in a song? you can only query the clips from the LIVE VIEW. not the SONG VIEW.

i swear i'm missing something because this sounds too crazy to be true. :P
