Hello,

Could someone tell me how I can convert a Max4live Midi Device into a Max4live Audio device?

I tried removing the midi parts and add plugin and plugout but Ableton does not allow me to add the device in an audio track.

Thanks

I also need to be able to convert the preset files. Thanks!

Hiya, I'm reviving this old thread because I've tried doing those things (set the device type to audio in the project inspector), and still when i try and drag said device into an audio track it tells me I can't drag midi devices into an audio track. Any suggestions? I'm on Ableton 10.1.30

You have to open it from the OS's file explorer in Max, while Live is running (maybe not necessary if you have standalone Max license).

If you open it from inside Live it's already in a track instantiated as a MIDI (or audio) device. The parameter is editable but in the background it doesn't actually change.
