How to detect more than one iSight camera.

We have a setup of 8 monitors that we use for multi-channel video installations. The whole thing is run on two separate Macs, each with four monitors. Usually we only play multiple or split videos on these, but what I'm trying to do is use all the webcams built into each monitor to detect motion.

I'm just having a problem having more than just one iSight camera show up. Currently it seem to show the lower right monitors iSight. I've been looking around for a while and only come across discussions on using external usb or firewire cameras, and their suggestions don't seem to be working.

If someone could lend a hand, that would be great.

No he wants multiple cameras in - like Michele de Candia ' post , 3 copies of what you posted.
What cameras come up up in the vdev list? Do you see all of the connected monitors cameras?
What does System Profiler report on your USB bus?
Cheers
