How to install OSC-ROUTE in Max6 for Windows 7 64bit?

I have downloaded OSC-route from here: http://cnmat.berkeley.edu/downloads but no matter what I do with it, I get the error newobj: OSC-route: No such object

I really need this external to work as it's required by Kinect-via-synapse, which worked great in Max5 but has stopped dead since I upgraded to Max6.

Hi
Which version of Max are you using? Is OSC-route compatible with Max 64 bit?

Hi Brendan, thanks for the reply. Running Max 6.17 64bit here.

Its hard to know if OSC-route runs on 64 bit. The release notes and installation instructions are minimal:
From http://cnmat.berkeley.edu/downloads:

Version Support
All objects support Max 5.x---6.0. Most objects work on Max 6.1 in both 32 and 64-bit mode, however only a couple of the MSP objects will work in 64-bit mode. Full support for 64-bit Max 6.1 is coming soon. Please note that analyzer~, pitch~, loudness~, and brightness~ have been intentionally left out of this release. They will reappear in a subsequent release.

I guess I'll try downgrading to 32bit and see if that works.

If 64 bit mode is not crucial to your other Max work, then go for it. I rely on a small number of older externals and switched to 32 bit Max with absolutely no noticeable performance impact.
