How to make kick drum sounds
Any suggestions on where to go to learn how to generate my own high-quality kick drum sounds? I'm not necessarily trying to generate something that sounds like a "real" recorded kick drum sound, but just looking for the basics on how to create a good electronic bass drum thump. It's the one sound that I just can't intuitively figure out how to create on my own. All of my attempts have ended in wimpy flimsy-sounding garbage. Are there any good books/articles/tutorials out there? Thanks!
the following threads should hold a fair bit of knowledge about synthesising a kick drum sound :)
sine and sawtooths, low frequencies, short attack, some decay shorter sustain, not much release on the old amplitude, should be enough to get you experimenting. bit of distortion if you want that kinda thing or keep the distortion out of you wanna go kinda 808 909 on it

I like to direct the output of click~ into reason~. Give reason~ arguments like 150 60 60, and send click~ the message "set 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1", or the like.
