Open the inspector for the standalone object and click the "All" tab. Scroll to the bottom for the line that says "Status Window Visible at Startup." Uncheck that box.

@bkshepard is not that option. If the standalone can't start at all is replaced with the "MAX runtime" window. I think is a default behaviour written inside "maxcrt.dll". To check this problem rename the .exe file and try to launch your application.

If your application is named "MusicTempo" an error will show another software.
