How to trigger the BEAP arpeggiator from Midi
Hey all, I'm trying to get this BEAP Arpeggiator to trigger from the makenote object, but when I connect the pack object output to the arpeggiator i only hear a continuous tone.
What should the EXT Pulse receive from for the chickens be midi virtuosos?
Any suggestions ?- note i know very little about MSP..QED.
midiformat
Best way to deal with all that vizzie, beap, peep , sqweek and similar
is to paste one of them into empty max patch,
select it and then choose De-encapsulate from edit menu.
then rebuild it into normal max patch, and then never use it again as beezy.
Otherwise you will be left in the dark and never learn from it.
In fact it needs 2 steps:
1 select it with righ mouse click or ctrl-click and choose New View

get it out of presentation mode.
now you see what is inside, here short part:

the reason is that when De-encapsulating inlets get lost.
here screenshot of same patch part when De-encapsulated:

no trace of inlets or outlets...
in your case one can see midiparse at midi input,
which means you need raw midi message.
so insert 144 $1 $2
and chicken will be happy.

now about that Ext Pulse inlet,
do you think maker of that beepy should document how things function ?
if there are no infos about that, you could complain about it at cycling support.
the help patch for beeps is more than a nightmare
inlet /outlet hover labels are either non-existent or completely wrong
very bad for beginners

...and the worst patch is one that automatically turns on audio when it is opened- with volume cranked up - have to search for volume control
