How to use the [imovie] matrix message

What do the 9 floats following the matrix message refer to? I've been looking around and haven't come across the answer. The pic I attached shows the experiment I was trying to conduct to find out, but I'm not getting any results. Basically I'd like to have the imovie zoom in on one frame of the comic (i only need to deal with static jpgs, not actual movies).
I've been using MaxForLive for just a few months, but I've been getting a ton done. That being said, I'm not very familiar with the Jitter branch of things, but I think imovie should be sufficient to accomplish my minimal goals concerning images.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Alright. I was able to figure out what the 9 floats do by looking at the jit.mxform2d help page. I still can't get it to change my pictures though. It doesn't only work with actual videos does it?
