Hz/Volt in Max

I have a Behringer K2 (Korg MS-20) that I'm curious to work with in Max - specifically microtuning.

Has anyone had experience with Hz/Volt and how the scaling works? I'm using an Expert Sleepers ES-8 for getting CV out.

Hz/Volt means for each volt difference, frequency doubles or halfs,

in other words

if you have source gadget sending -5 ~ 5 volts,

you can set your receiving one to center C4 at 0 V,

and go 5 octaves up or down from it

and then you can abuse mtof & ftom 0. in conjunction with scale for the conversion to linear/note numbers.

Thank you both! I used ftom 0., scale that to -5. 5. , followed by another scale~ object to calibrate a little more for the ES-8.
